Pink Lemonade Margarita (Pink Senorita)

This cocktail is softer than the classic margarita recipe, with the addition of pink lemonade. It is so refreshing but still a little tart from the freshly squeezed lemon. Great for an outdoor party and perfect for a girl get-together or serve at a brunch. This past February, I made this for my

Galenite brunch

I had with the ladies, and it was a hit. As being a formal bartender( by the way that was an incredibly fun experience), I did that about three years while I was in college. So with having a real bar in my family room I love mixing up new drinks, especially margarita drinks. I make all types of margaritas, and I usually make them more in the summertime.

Still, I love to have a glass for Taco Tuesday at our home. We make tacos at least twice a month; hey, I went to school in California. I discovered my love for taco and margaritas out there. Something about Tacos and Margaritas; It just a unique combination.

This Pink Senorita always seems to be on the request for me to make when my friends come over to the house. Since making this for my Galantine Brunch, it appears to be the favored drink for the ladies. One of my friends told me that it is a super-smooth cocktail and does not leave an after-taste in your mouth like the regular margarita drink. But if you have a gathering, this is perfect for a pitcher drink. Just add ice. This is an ideal summertime drink, and an ideal cocktail for a lightweight person. I know my friend who is a light drinker loves it because she said you do not taste the heavy alcohol of the drink. Adding the Pink lemonade, I think, softens the Margarita. If you a Margarita and Taco eating lover like me, I have shared below some of my other favorites Margarita cocktail, and some great Mexican meals I love to eat with my drinks Hope you guys enjoy.

8 ingredients

Produce

1 Lemon, fresh wedge

1 Lemon, slices

Condiments

1 oz Lemon juice freshly squeezed

Baking & Spices

1 Salt, coarse

Drinks

4 oz lemonade

Frozen

1 Ice

Beer, Wine & Liquor

1 1/2 oz Blanco tequila

1/2 oz Orange liqueur – I prefer to use Cointreau

INSTRUCTIONS

To rim the glass (optional): Place salt on a small plate. Rub lemon wedge around the rim of the glass. Dip the wet rim into the salt, straight down and straight up. If you twist your cocktail glass, you might risk some of the salt rubbing off.

To make the cocktail: To a glass, add Pink lemonade, tequila, lemon juice, and orange liqueur. Now add crushed ice to fill your glass. Stir the drink with a spoon for a few seconds to combine and chill the drink. Garnish with a lemon slice, mint, and raspberries if you desired.
